The subject matter is quite different from anything else currently showing in movie theaters, but this movie makes an important point about happiness. In this film, a young poet named Jesse Germane travels to several places in Europe. He says he feels clogged and wants to find the perfect subject for his writing. Up until his international travels, Jesse has lived a rather boring life—or so he thinks. While in Europe, Jesse learns several lessons about himself, literature, and the meaning of life. 3Dazzling vistas serve as the background for many of the scenes in the film—a signature feature of Willow’s movies. This idea seems out of place with the main character’s need to travel to the ends of the earth. Otherwise, Lucky Flowers is a surprisingly smart film that will entertain the whole family.
