1. What Caused congress to create a commission to examine the government's actions towards Japanese Americans during World War II?

2. What were the findings of the commission?

Answers

Answer:

1. Intense pressure by the Japanese-American Citizens league and redress organization caused the President Jimmy Carter led administration to form a commission to investigate the Internment of the Japanese Americans in 1942.

2. The commission examined the reason for the exclusion and the justification for it. They found that the reasons for exclusion was based on racial prejudice and fear and the justification for internment was baseless.

Explanation:

After the aerial attack of the Pearl Harbor in 1941 by the Japanese government, the U.S Department of War started nurturing suspicions of the Japanese-Americans and therefore sought the Internment of these people. The U.S Department of Justice debated this move as they believed that this decision would result in trampling of the rights of the citizens. President Franklin Roosevelt signed the Executive Order 9066 which saw the actualization of the Internment of Japanese-Americans.

When President Gerald R. Ford realized the injustice meted on this group of people in the year, 1976, he repealed the Executive Order 9066 and in 1980, under President Jimmy Cater, a commission was launched to examine the reasons for the Internment. The commission found that the justification given for the decision of Internment was baseless, because the move was borne from fear and racial prejudice.

the factors that account for Germany’s early success in the war.

Answers

Answer:

So Hitler's Germany was VERY successful in its conquests before and early in  WWll for this one reason: no one stopped him. Hitler was elected the supreme chancellor of Germany because he promised his people to get them out of the depression that was facing Germany since WWl. In the Treaty of Versailles, which was the end of WWl, it stated that Germany had to pay all of the reparations of the war because they "started it". Obviously Germany could not pay for all of this and they went into a deep depression. Hitler comes along promising to make Germany great again and is re-elected. Okay, enough back story. Now that Hitler is elected he believes that he is the leader of  a Third Reich that will last 1,000 years. With this new idea he also believes that Germans need more space to spread out if they are going to the dominating force in Europe. So, Hitler's army starts walking into surrounding countries and saying that they are his now...and no one stops him. Allied countries even appease Hitler by signing the Munich Pact which said he could have the Czechoslovakian Sudetenland if he promised not to invade the rest of Czechoslovakia. He later went back on his promise and captured the rest of Czechoslovakia which enraged France and England, but the last straw before war was declared was when Hitler decided to invade Poland on September 1, 1939.

Who invented the cotton gin in 1793? a) Cyrus McCormick b) James Watt c) Eli Whitney d) John Deere

Answers

Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin in 1793. The correct option is C.

What did the cotton gin actually do?

Short-staple cotton, which was simple to grow in the Deep South but challenging to process, was separated from the fibers by the gin's sticky seeds. The gin made it easier to separate the seeds from the fibers, but the cotton still needed to be picked by hand.

Although Eli Whitney is most famous for developing the cotton gin, he was also the originator of the mass production technique. He developed a machine in 1798 that could produce interchangeable parts for muskets.

The cotton gin, created in 1794 by American-born inventor Eli Whitney (1765–1825), revolutionized cotton production by making the removal of seeds from cotton fiber much faster.

Thus, the ideal selection is option C.
