Answer 1

The correct answer is C. Fewer aerosol cans are now produced.

Explanation

The Montreal Protocol is a protocol created to promote the protection of the ozone layer by reducing the production and consumption of numerous substances that have been studied, and determined to be responsible for the depletion of ozone layer, mainly aerosols.

Aerosols contain chemical compounds known as Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) that have been the main causes of enlarging the hole in the ozone layer, this is because they absorb and scatter sunlight. Therefore, the correct answer is C. Fewer aerosol cans are now produced.

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) took nearly a year to be ratified due to stiff opposition from which of the following groups?

labor unions who feared the loss of American jobs to Mexico

American manufacturers who relied on existing tariffs for their competitive edge

Canadian environmentalists who feared it would lead to increased oil drilling in the Arctic

conservative Republicans who feared it would lead to an influx in immigration from Mexico

Answers

Answer: labor unions who feared the loss of American jobs to Mexico

Explanation:

Labor Unions were very opposed to the signing of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) by the Clinton administration because they reasoned that it would lead to job losses as companies moved to Mexico to take advantage of cheaper labor rates.

They would ultimately be proven right as U.S. factories moved to Mexico in droves especially in the auto industry. This led to job losses in the United States and prompted former President Donald Trump to call it one of the worst deals the U.S. had ever signed.

Answers

Answer:

Liability insurance

Explanation:

Hope it helps :)

Insurance that protects a person against the costs associated with lawsuits is called liability insurance. The correct option is C.

What do you mean by insurance?

A way to control your risk is through insurance. When you obtain insurance, you safeguard yourself against unforeseen financial losses. If something unfavorable occurs to you, the insurance company pays you or a person of your choice. If an accident occurs and you don't have insurance, you can be liable for all expenses.

Liability insurance is a type of insurance that provides protection to an individual or organization against claims made by third parties for bodily injury or property damage caused by their actions or negligence.

If you are found to be legally responsible for causing harm to someone else, liability insurance can help cover the costs associated with the resulting lawsuit or claim. This can include legal fees, settlement costs, and damages awarded to the injured party.

Thus, the ideal selection is option C.

Compar and Contrast Why did the Soviet Union and the United
States come to power after World War II? Explain what made each
country

Answers

Answer:

The United States came to power because it led the allied offense in Western Europe against Nazi Germany, and in the Pacific against Imperial Japan.

The war effort also lifted the U.S. out of the Great Depression, and helped the country develop its industry and military even more, at the time that its main competitors were trying to recover from the effects of the war (Germany, France, Britain, Italy, Japan).

The Soviet Union came to power in a similar manner. It led the allied offense against Nazi Germany in Eastern Europe, and it took control of the Eastern European countries. The war also helped the Soviets developed its military and industry, and they had scientific achievements that were on par with those of the United States.

how long has imperialism existed

Answers

Hey there!

Imperialism has existed from the 1500-1916

___________________________________________________________

What is imperialism?

Imperialism, state policy, practice, or advocacy of extending power and dominion, especially by direct territorial acquisition or by gaining political and economic control of other areas. Because it always involves the use of power, whether military or economic or some subtler form, imperialism has often been considered morally reprehensible, and the term is frequently employed in international propaganda to denounce and discredit an opponent’s foreign policy.

___________________________________________________________

More about imperialism

Imperialism in ancient times is clear in the history of China and in the history of western Asia and the Mediterranean—an unending succession of empires. The tyrannical empire of the Assyrians was replaced (6th–4th century BCE) by that of the Persians, in strong contrast to the Assyrian in its liberal treatment of subjected peoples, assuring it long duration. It eventually gave way to the imperialism of Greece. When Greek imperialism reached an ape x under Alexander the Great (356–323 BCE), a union of the eastern Mediterranean with western Asia was achieved. But the cosmopolis, in which all citizens of the world would live harmoniously together in equality, remained a dream of Alexander. It was partially realized when the Romans built their empire from Britain to Egypt.

Would you volunteer for military service?

Answers

I'm part of Generation Z - which is 1997-2010.

I personally, would be very shocked and try to be fully educated and aware on the situation, and updates. I feel as if everyone, regardless of their generation would try to be fully updated. The difference is that Gen Z was born with access to the internet. Because of that, a lot of Gen Zers use this privilege to stay aware.

Would I volunteer? No. I'm underage. And even if I wasn't, I wouldn't. War is very gruesome and disturbing. I think people who choose to put themself on the front lines are brave, but that's not me. Also, my family would not like for me to leave on a practical sewercide(real word is blocked) mission.

I do, however, think that there would be plenty of volunteers. America could even start drafting.

TL;DR I think everyone would be in shock but be glued to the news. I wouldn't volunteer.
