Find the monthly house payment necessary to amortize the following loan. In order to purchase a home, a family borrows $110,000 at 2.9% for 30 yrs. What is their monthly payment? Round the answer to the nearest cent.

Answers

The monthly payment for purchasing the home will be $457.85.

What is a monthly payment?

The term loan refers to a sort of credit vehicle in which a sum of money is lent to another party in exchange for the value or principal amount being repaid in the future.

Then the formula of monthly payment (MP) will be

[tex]\rm MP = P \times \dfrac{r(1+r)^n}{(1+r)^n - 1}\\[/tex]

In order to purchase a home, a family borrows $110,000 at 2.9% for 30 years.

We have

P = $110,000

r = 0.029 / 12 = 0.0024

n = 30 × 12 = 360

Then the monthly payment will be

[tex]\rm MP = 110,000\times \dfrac{0.0024(1+0.0024)^{360}}{(1+0.0024)^{360} - 1}\\\\[/tex]

On further solving, we have

MP = 110000 × 0.0024 × 1.723

MP = $ 457.85

Find the equation of a line that passes through the point (-2,1) and has a gradient of -3.
Leave your answer in the form

c

Answers

A straight line passing through the point (-2,1) and having a gradient of -3 yields the equation y = -3x - 5.

We know that a straight line is an infinitely long line with no curves on it. A straight line's equation is

y = mx + c...(1), where m is the gradient of the straight line and c is a constant.

Given that the gradient of the given straight line = m = -3.

Putting this value in (1), we get

y = -3x + c ...(2)

Again, the given straight line passes through the point (-2,1). So, we can put x = -2 and y = 1 to get the value of the constant c.

So, 1 = (-3)(-2) + c

i.e. 6 + c = 1

i.e. c = 1 - 6 = -5

(2) can be written as

y = -3x - 5

Therefore the equation of the given straight line is

Step-by-step explanation:

You're suppose to plug in the values 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 into f(x) and g(x) to find where they're equal to find the solution to f(x) = g(x) (when the column values are equal).

So for example

f(1) = -(1)^2 + 4(1) + 12

f(1) = -1 + 4 + 12

f(1) = 15

g(1) = 1 + 2

g(1) = 3

put these two values in the table for f(1) and g(1)

f(2) = -(2)^2 + 4(2) + 12

f(2) = -4 + 8 + 12

f(2) = 16

g(2) = 2 + 2

g(2) = 4

f(3) = -(3)^2 + 4(3) + 12

f(3) = -9 + 12 + 12

f(3) = 15

g(3) = 3 + 2

g(3) = 5

f(4) = -(4)^2 + 4(4) + 12

f(4) = -16 + 16 + 12

f(6) = 0

g(6) = 6 + 2

On the average, five smokers pass acertain street corners every ten minutes, what is the probability that during a given 10 minutes the number of smokers passing will be A. 6 or fewer B. 7 or more C. Exactly 8

Answers

Answer:

The answer will be A. 6 or fewer.

The probability that during a given 10 minutes the number of smokers passing will be 6 or fewer.

What is probability?

Probability can be defined as the ratio of the number of favorable outcomes to the total number of outcomes of an event. For an experiment having 'n' number of outcomes, the number of favorable outcomes can be denoted by x. The formula to calculate the probability of an event is as follows.

Probability(Event) = Favorable Outcomes/Total Outcomes = x/n

Example

Suppose we have to predict about the happening of rain or not. The answer to this question is either "Yes" or "No". There is a likelihood to rain or not rain. Here we can apply probability. Probability is used to predict the outcomes for the tossing of coins, rolling of dice, or drawing a card from a pack of playing cards.

Terminology of Probability Theory

The following terms in probability help in a better understanding of the concepts of probability.

Experiment: A trial or an operation conducted to produce an outcome is called an experiment.

Sample Space: All the possible outcomes of an experiment together constitute a sample space. For example, the sample space of tossing a coin is head and tail.

Favorable Outcome: An event that has produced the desired result or expected event is called a favorable outcome. For example, when we roll two dice, the possible/favorable outcomes of getting the sum of numbers on the two dice as 4 are (1,3), (2,2), and (3,1).

Trial: A trial denotes doing a random experiment.

Given:

There are 5 smokers who passes by in every 10 minutes.

So, the probability that during a given 10 minutes the number of smokers passing will be approx 5 or less.

i.e., 6 or fewer.

For example, in a rectangle,  the opposite sides are equal and parallel and their interior angles are equal to 90°.

The perimeter of a geometric figure is the sum of its sides. Thus, for a rectangle, the perimeter is 2L+2W.

For this question, the length is 2ft longer than the width - L=2+W. Thus,

In which:

P(B|A) is the probability of event B happening, given that A happened.[tex]P(A \cap B)[/tex] is the probability of both A and B happening.P(A) is the probability of A happening.

In this problem, we have that the probabilities are given as follows:

[tex]P(A) = 0.433, P(A \cap B) = 0.29 \times 0.50 = 0.145[/tex]

Hence the conditional probability is:

[tex]P(B|A) = \frac{0.145}{0.433} = 0.3349[/tex]

I had been fording streams more and more difficult to cross and wading bogs and swamps that seemed more and more extensive and more difficult to force one's way through. Entering one of these great tamarac and arbor-vitae swamps one morning, holding a general though very crooked course by compass, struggling through tangled drooping branches and over and under broad heaps of fallen trees, I began to fear that I would not be able to reach dry ground before dark, and therefore would have to pass the night in the swamp and began, faint and hungry, to plan a nest of branches on one of the largest trees or windfalls like a monkey's nest, or eagle's, or Indian's in the flooded forests of the Orinoco described by Humboldt.[3] But when the sun was getting low and everything seemed most bewildering and discouraging, I found beautiful Calypso on the mossy bank of a stream, growing not in the ground but on a bed of yellow mosses in which its small white bulb had found a soft nest and from which its one leaf and one flower sprung. The flower was white and made the impression of the utmost simple purity like a snowflower. No other bloom was near it, for the bog a short distance below the surface was still frozen, and the water was ice cold. It seemed the most spiritual of all the flower people I had ever met. I sat down beside it and fairly cried for joy[6] Oftentimes I had to sleep without blankets, and sometimes without supper, but usually I had no great difficulty in finding a loaf of bread here and there at the houses of the farmer settlers in the widely scattered clearings. With one of these large backwoods loaves I was able to wander many a long wild fertile mile in the forests and bogs, free as the winds, gathering plants, and glorying in God's abounding inexhaustible spiritual beauty bread. Storms, thunderclouds, winds in the woodswere welcomed as friends.Passage 2: William Wordsworth's "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud"[1]I wandered lonely as a cloudThat floats on high o'er vales and hills,When all at once I saw a crowd,A host, of golden daffodils;[5]Beside the lake, beneath the trees,Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.Continuous as the stars that shineAnd twinkle on the milky way,They stretched in never-ending line[10]Along the margin of a bay:Ten thousand saw I at a glance,Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.The waves beside them danced; but theyOut-did the sparkling waves in glee:[15]A poet could not but be gay,In such a jocund company:I gazedand gazedbut little thoughtWhat wealth the show to me had brought:For oft, when on my couch I lie[20]In vacant or in pensive mood,They flash upon that inward eyeWhich is the bliss of solitude;And then my heart with pleasure fills,And dances with the daffodils.Both passages use the word "lonely" in their first sentence.
